Based on the Common Framework of the National Institute of Educational Technology and Teacher Training (INTEF), the research was conducted in an Ecuadorian setting and adopts a quantitative approach. Data were collected and analyzed from 193 professionals, highlighting the generational influence on the adoption of technological tools for effective communication. The results indicate that, although age is not a determining factor in general digital skills, significant generational differences exist in content creation and digital interaction.
