Abstract
Wireless technology and sensing methodologies have made it possible for wireless signals to detect human behavior and activity, as demonstrated in numerous studies. The recognition of human activity using channel state information (CSI) in commercial WiFi devices is particularly important in applications such as health monitoring, smart home automation, and security monitoring. In this paper, we propose a device-free activity recognition system that utilizes only commercial off-the-shelf WiFi infrastructure and devices, with a focus on practicality, efficiency, and real-world deployment. The system operates in the 5 GHz band. Our experiments, conducted in an indoor environment, demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed system in recognizing human activity.
