Abstract
In addition to data processing, quality and timely delivery of primary data is essential to the efficient operation of digital technologies. And this requires a reliable infrastructure both in the data center and on the periphery. The essence of technologies of peripheral calculations consists that primary processing of the data is transferred as close as possible to a source of their occurrence. In this case, along with the central cloud data center, compact computing nodes are created that minimize network traffic and reduce delays in data transmission. The future mobile network architecture with implementation of edge computing (EC) and cloud computing (CC) is proposed. This architecture is especially important for improve quality of services by reducing delay. In this article, we will take a fresh look at the concept of cloud and edge computing and propose an approach to solving the problems associated with ensuring low delay for mission critical applications. For this the method for estimating service delay in edge and cloud computing system has been developed.
