Improving the energy yield of plasma-based NO<sub><i>x</i></sub> synthesis with <i>in situ</i> adsorption

Abstract
Conversion of O 2 and N 2 to NO x in a cold plasma suffers from the fact that plasma also activates NO x , resulting in decomposition. This is mitigated by adsorbing NO x on MgO, protecting NO x product molecules for the plasma.
