5G Wireless Security and Privacy: Architecture and Flexible Mechanisms
Dongfeng Fang, Yi Qian
Abstract
5G wireless systems are the next generation of mobile wireless telecommunications beyond current 4G/International Mobile Telecommunications-Advanced systems. Not only enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB) communications but also ultrareliable low-latency communication (uRLLC) and massive machine-type communication (mMTC) are supported by 5G wireless networks. New architecture and advanced technologies are applied in 5G wireless systems to support different use cases. New security issues and advanced performance requirements are raised by various use cases and advanced technologies. Moreover, privacy concerns escalate due to the large amount of personal information transmitted over 5G wireless systems.
