Abstract

This work presents a modified boost converter with multiple inputs that is not isolated and that is capable of being used in a DC-DC micro grid system that is powered by solar panels, batteries, or fuel cells. The aim of this paper is to design and simulate an non isolated hybrid modified boost converter (NIBC) with multiple ports. Simulation of NIBC with PI, FOPID and FL controllers are done. The utilization of a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) in conjunction with a fractional order proportional integral derivative controller (FOPIDC) results in an improvement to the voltage regulation. The outcomes of simulations involving closed loop circuits are compared with those involving PI, FOPIDC and FLC, and it is demonstrated that FLC have superior performance.
