Polyiodide shuttle inhibition in ethylene glycol-added aqueous electrolytes for high energy and long-term cyclability of zinc–iodine batteries

Abstract
High-density ordered porous graphene is used as the iodine host material and ethylene glycol is added to electrolyte to inhibit the polyiodide shuttle, so high volumetric energy and long cycling life are achieved for the Zn–I 2 batteries.
