Sepic DC–DC Converter: Review of Different Voltage Boosting Techniques and Applications

Abstract

The requirement of voltage boosting capability with high static efficiency leads to the increase in the scope of dc-dc converters in applications where power conversion takes place for millivolts to thousands of volts at milliwatts to megawatts power ratings. So, a new framework of dc-dc converters with continuous input current, high reliability and high efficiency is regarded as a SEPIC converter. They comprehensively review and classification of various SEPIC dc-dc converters i.e. conventional SEPIC, modified SEPIC and interleaved SEPIC based on their characteristics and voltage-boosting techniques are presented in this paper. Finally, the comparative study of converters and broad applications are presented.
