Real-Time Litter Detection System for Moving Vehicles Using YOLO

Abstract
In recent years India has taken steps towards clean India and it has created a huge impact on the cleanliness of the cities and towns in the country. But still, it is one of the major issues the government is worried about. To keep the streets clean it's not only required by the people walking on it to be aware of not throwing litter but also people moving in vehicles should not litter while driving around Initiatives are being taken for cleaning the litter, and a model which will help to detect litter thrown away by moving vehicles with the help of real-time surveillance camera footage is now presented in many cities. In this paper, a model which uses the YOLO algorithm for detecting litter thrown out by moving vehicles and detecting the license plate of that particular vehicle is proposed.
