Parametric Control for Multi-Scroll Attractor Generation via Nested Sine-PWL Function
Ning Wang, Guoshan Zhang, Houzhen Li
Abstract
This brief proposes a simple parametric control scheme for multi-scroll attractor generation. First, the three-segment piecewise-linear (PWL) saturation function is nested inside the sine nonlinearity to limit the amplitude of the inputs. The nested sine-PWL function is further introduced to jerk system to generate multi-scroll attractors. The number of scrolls can be easily selected by adjusting the single parameter, i.e., the saturation value. Chaotic attractors with different number of scrolls are demonstrated by both of the simulations and the microcontroller-based hardware experiments.
