Probing the binding and activation of small molecules by gas-phase transition metal clustersviaIR spectroscopy
André Fielicke
Abstract
Complexes of transition metal clusters are useful model systems in surface chemistry and catalysis. Their structures can be analyzed in the gas phase by infrared action spectroscopies that detect vibrational excitation by means of mass spectrometry.
