The hotel industry, reliant on substantial financial and personal data, faces heightened susceptibility to cyber security threats, necessitating a meticulous examination of data breaches. This chapter conducts a comprehensive analysis of data breach dynamics within the hotel sector and proffers recommendations for effective preventative and remedial measures. Commencing with a detailed exploration of the mechanics underlying data breaches in the industry, the discussion delineates common categories such as credit card theft and personal data leakage, elucidating methodologies and potential repercussions.
