Abstract

An efficient palladium-catalyzed asymmetric [4 + 4] cycloaddition of highly reactive ortho -quinone methides with γ-methylidene-δ-valerolactones for the construction of functionalized eight-membered benzo[ b ]oxocine derivatives has been developed.
