Abstract
In article number 2001172, Jian Xu, Bo Ma, and co-workers invent Raman-activated gravity-driven single-cell encapsulation and sequencing (RAGE-Seq). It produces antimicrobial susceptibility phenotypes and the genome sequence of 99.5% coverage simultaneously from precisely one bacterial cell. The ability to profile and correlate the microbial metabolic phenome and high-quality genomes at one-cell resolution has broad implications in clinical medicine.
