Abstract
The DL-EPR is a reliable technique to evaluate the degree of sensitization (DOS) of stainless steel. This paper proposed an optimal test condition for AL-6XN super-austenitic stainless steel using the Taguchi method. The factors are H2SO4, NaCl, KSCN concentration, and temperature. DL-EPR test was conducted with the L16 orthogonal array (4 levels and 4 factors). The significant factors were NaCl concentration and H2SO4 concentration, but the KSCN concentration and temperature had a relatively low influence, and the optimal condition was found to be 2 M H2SO4, 0.1 M KSCN, 2 M NaCl, and 30 °C. Statistical analysis and regression model were used as validation for optimal test condition.
