Abstract

The importance of public spaces in the Chinese population is growing along with China's social and economic development. As a result, the potential for human casualties and economic loss if the emergency evacuation of public space is not timely and effective is also increasing. How to evacuate people from public places quickly and safely is the focus of current research in the field. This paper explores the role of people and the evacuation environment as factors that influence emergency evacuations. Then, an evacuation model is established using cellular automata and agent-hybrid theory. Matlab software is used to simulate the evacuation process of people from a school building in the event of a natural disaster, verifying the effectiveness of the model. At the same time, the model provides ideas for the formulation of relevant evacuation schemes.
