Abstract

The PVA-PMMA-PAAM-Ag films with different content of Ag pure (0, 0.02, 0.04 wt.%) were prepared by the solution casting method and with a thickness of 60 µm. The structure of the composite (PVA-PMMA-PAAM-Ag) was examined via scanning electron microscope to examine the surface morphology of the samples, while FT-IR was used to determine the active groups. To study the optical properties and record the absorption spectrum employing a visible ultraviolet spectrophotometer. The absorption spectra were recorded in the wavelength range 200-1100 nm. The transmittance decreased with the increase of Ag content in the composite film, while the conductivity increased. The energy gap decreased from 4.35 eV for PVA-PMMA-PAAM film to 3.95 eV for PVA-PMMA-PAAM-0.04wt.%Ag.
