Abstract

Currently, agriculture-based food production is significantly less when compared to the population growth. Therefore, the practice of the modern-day agricultural production system is much required to enhance and fulfill future food demands. Technologies such as hydroponics, aquaponics, and precision/smart agricultural technologies are key areas that can improve global agricultural productivity. This chapter describes these technologies and their use in the enhancement of agricultural productivity in order to increase food production required to feed the increasing global population.
