Abstract
A new IR NLO crystal Sr 3 Ge 2 O 4 Te 3 was successfully designed and synthesized by a “partial O-to-Te substitution” strategy. The bridging oxygen in [Ge 2 Te 3 O 4 ] plays the most important role in the enhanced SHG effect of Sr 3 Ge 2 O 4 Te 3 .
