Abstract

Significance In this manuscript, we identify a pathway involving mitochondrial Ca 2+ and mitochondrial Stat3 that strengthens the motility fitness of activated CD4 T cells. Considering that motility is essential for CD4 T cells to find and reach their targets and mediate pathogenesis, these findings could lead to the development of therapeutic strategies to intervene in CD4 T cell–mediated inflammatory diseases.
