Abstract

A coumarin based turn-on sensor for the selective detection of Hg( ii ) through oxidation of diselenide. The sensing mechanism supported with single crystal XRD of monoselenide. Sensitivity of the probe for the detection of Hg( ii ) confirmed with imaging in MCF-7 cells.
