Abstract

Tuning the hydrogen-bonding network and strengthening H 2 O–Li + –anion solvation complexes by “hydrotropic” ionic liquids provide a solution to suppress H 2 O activity and extend the electrochemical stability window for high-voltage aqueous batteries.
