Abstract

Faulty sensor nodes presence always degrades the network performance in wireless sensor network. However identification of the faulty sensor nodes may improve the performances. The existing conventional techniques for detection of faulty sensor node use mean and statistical z-test. The performance by using this mean under high noise environment is not up to the mark. In this paper we propose a centralized faulty node detection algorithm based on statistical analysis in wireless sensor network. The proposed algorithm is evaluated and simulation result shows that our algorithm performs better than the existing conventional approaches.
