Abstract

India is one of the most populous countries, specifically ranked at number two. India is the agro-based country, Methods which are cost-cutting and produces good results should come into practice. Therefore, smart monitoring and controlling automated irrigation system based on Arduino for the management of water resources have been proposed. According to the readings, the automated system turns ON/OFF motor through microcontroller and keeps the user updated about the field status by sending alert/message with the help of GSM. It measures various parameters like temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. An LCD screen is used for monitoring the system. Farmers can monitor it's cropping from anywhere at any time through SMS. This paper gives a brief about IOT technology & it's an application in the field of agriculture.
