Abstract

Cobalt and nickel complexes of a new carborane-substituted bis(phosphanido) ligand have been prepared. Reaction of the cobalt complex with white phosphorus (P 4 ) results in a remarkable fragmentation of P 4 into P 3 and P 1 units.
