Search for the best prediction model, definition and growth charts for fetal growth restriction using a composite of adverse perinatal outcomes: a catch‐22?
Sanne J. Gordijn, Wessel Ganzevoort
Abstract
Fetal growth restriction (FGR) studies are often focused at finding the best prediction model, the best monitoring-management strategy or the best definition or growth chart. Using a composite of adverse perinatal outcomes that are related to the condition FGR (placental insufficiency resulting in hypoxia) as well as to the treatment (relatively premature delivery) hamper adequate analyses of these studies.
