Abstract

In this study, aluminum oxide nanoparticles were synthesized in plasma discharge in water medium under the intensive ultrasonic cavitation. The obtained nanoparticles were examined by the dynamic light scattering, scanning electron microscopy, ξ-potential measurements. It was shown that the particles had spherical shape with size about 20-30 nm and were stable to aggregation and sedimentation. The values of ξ-potential of the particles surface were measured when interacting with a water-soluble polymer polyethylene glycol.
