Abstract

This paper proposes a circularly-polarized (CP) Zhong-shaped MIMO antenna with meta-materials. One of meta-materials is printed on the side of the patch antennas which can enhance isolation, and another meta-material is suspended on the upper of the patch antennas which can achieve polarization conversion from linear to circular polarization. The simulated results show that the bandwidth of the proposed antenna cover from 2.22 to 2.75 GHz, and the coupling is less than −18 dB. In addition, the designed MIMO antenna has better performance in terms of radiation patterns and CP, which makes it a potential candidate for many practical indoor wireless communication applications.
