Rational design of a carbon nitride photocatalyst with in-plane electron delocalization for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

Abstract
Introducing B doping into the π-conjugated system of CN not only induces electron delocalization but enhances the separation and transfer of photoinduced electron–hole pairs. This leads to a 8.6-fold improvement in the photocatalytic H 2 evolution.
