Abstract
Phosphoramidates and phosphonates are suitable ligands for the preparation of tetrahedral mono- and polynuclear Mn(<sc>ii</sc>) complexes characterized by green luminescence, influenced by the symmetry of the compounds and by the P-bonded substituents.
