Abstract
The focus of this chapter is in the perioperative care of the general thoracic surgery patient. Areas that will be covered include preoperative pulmonary assessment, prevention of postoperative pulmonary complications, prevention of arrhythmias, and the role for enhanced recovery protocols in thoracic surgery.
