Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. Post-publication, concerns were raised regarding the authorship of this article, which involves individuals from geographically distant countries. An investigation conducted by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team revealed that the author Enguo Liu was not listed in the original submission but was added during the peer review process without proper disclosure or justification. Additionally, the email address associated with this author did not match his name. When contacted, the listed author Hamza E. Albaheth stated that he was completely unaware of the entire process from the submission to the publication of the manuscript and stated that he did not know any of the other authors listed on this article. The corresponding author, Muhammad Aqib Shafiq, could not provide a satisfactory explanation for these changes, while the author Enguo Liu did not respond. The Editor has determined that the authorship of the paper cannot be relied upon, and the article needs to be retracted. The Editor further determined that the author Hamza E. Albaheth was not at fault in this matter, and his reputation should not be called into question. Apologies are offered to the readers of the journal that these deceptions were not detected during the submission process.
