Abstract

Form Y04 of the compound ROY is a transient polymorph discovered by melt crystallization in 2004, whose structure has not yet been determined. Here we report the structure of Form Y04 solved using single crystals cultivated from melt microdroplets, making ROY the top polymorphic compound with the largest number (12) of solved structures and enabling a “blind test” of previous crystal structure predictions.
