Solubility enhancements through crystalline solid solutions, the non-linear Tammann diagram and the <i>T</i>–<i>X</i> phase diagram of salicylic acid–benzoic acid

Abstract
The T – X phase diagram of salicylic acid–benzoic acid discloses significant miscibility in the solid-state. The two crystalline solid solutions result in 87% and 19% solvent solubility increases, respectively, relative to the pure components.
