Methods for Automatic Identification of Vehicles in the its System

Abstract
This paper deals with vehicle identification based on RFID technology, as well as intelligent transport system (ITS) classification, ITS components, classification of electronic identification means, radio frequency identification and the corresponding ISO standards. In the article, RFID technology is selected based on the materials discussed below. The identification methods are very diverse for different fields of application, i.e. each method is applicable to some and not applicable to some. For transport identification, identification technology such as RFID is more suitable. Accordingly, identification methods will be discussed below and emphasis will be placed on RFID technology.
