Abstract

patients with AF undergoing PCI. Pooling data from the major clinical trials of patients with AF undergoing PCI may identify subgroups of patients that benefit more from 30-day triple antithrombotic therapy, and this strategy could be tested in RCTs specifically enrolling these patients. Finally, other combinations of drugs, including DAPT without OAC for the initial period after ACS or PCI to minimize bleeding risk, still need to be tested in RCTs. For now, in the 12 months after PCI, the current evidence is clear that patients with AF should be treated with NOAC plus a P2Y 12 inhibitor, regardless of indication for PCI.
