Abstract

The paper aims at examining the application of Internet of Things (IoT) technology in maritime logistics management and its underlying infrastructure. First, it provides an overview of the definition, applications, and development trends of IoT, as well as detailed explanations of its components, including the perception layer, network layer, and application layer. Next, it analyzes IoT standards and protocols to establish a theoretical foundation for IoT applications. In terms of maritime logistics management, the paper discusses the current status and challenges faced by the industry, and emphasizes the value derived from data analysis in optimizing maritime logistics. Subsequently, it introduces techniques for IoT data collection and preprocessing, including various methods for collecting data, techniques for cleaning and deduplicating data, as well as processes for converting and standardizing data formats. The paper thus devotes to the academic by exploring the data analysis methods and their applications in maritime logistics management. It then proposes strategies for optimizing maritime logistics based on IoT technology, which can make contributions both academically and industrially when implemented.
