Abstract

, porous membranes, functional and barrier coatings, adhesives, saloplastics, and extraction media. Additionally, we highlight the challenges and opportunities and discuss what is needed to get to the next level. We envision that collaboration between experimentalists and theoreticians can leverage experimental datasets with accurate descriptions of all the parameters for multiscale modelling, machine learning and artificial intelligence approaches that can be used to design PEC materials and predict their properties.
