Abstract

Wireless connectivity presents numerous benefits alongside the alteration of an organization’s broader information security risk landscape and introduces novel security vulnerabilities. While the conventional response to vulnerabilities often involves the deployment of technological remedies, addressing wireless security predominantly hinges on effective managerial strategies. To effectively navigate the risks associated with wireless technology and devise a comprehensive plan to mitigate identified vulnerabilities, a meticulous and precise assessment of risk within the given operational setting becomes imperative. We advocate for a framework aimed at aiding managers in comprehending and appraising the diverse array of risks linked to wireless technology adoption. Furthermore, we delve into several protective measures against these identified threats.
