Abstract

Pharmacologic inhibition of both the immune-checkpoint molecule PD-L1 and vascular endothelial growth factor improves survival among persons with hepatocellular carcinoma. The success of this combination therapy may depend on the context in which hepatocellular carcinoma arises.
