Abstract
Energy efficient and cost-effective rare earth separations using a scalable membrane solvent extraction process is described in the article number 2200390 by Syed Z. Islam, Ramesh Bhave, and co-workers. Separation and recovery of high purity rare earth oxides with high yield from end-of life scrap permanent magnets is widely used in various clean energy technologies including electric vehicles. The process scalability and the long-term performance of the process have been successfully demonstrated.
