Abstract
The authors characterize the advantages and the consequences of the development of the closed-loop economics in the Russian Federation. Closed cycles are considered as a form of management within the framework of industrial ecology. Approaches to measuring sustainability are discussed. The influence of anthropogenic metabolism on the environment is investigated. Business models of the closed-loop economics are proposed as a mechanism for achieving sustainable development. The problems and ways of developing the economy of closed cycles are discussed. The book is intended for specialists in the field of ecology, environmental protection and for students studying and specializing in these areas.
