Abstract

Se( iv ) seleninic acid is the active catalyst in aniline oxidation by H 2 O 2 due to its favorable peroxide activation kinetics. The slow formation of Se( vi ) selenonic acid and its poorer performance in H 2 O 2 activation hinder its catalytic role.
