Flexible electronics from intrinsically soft materials

Abstract
Flexible electronics is an interdisciplinary research field. By employing the intrinsically soft materials, the resulting devices feature outstanding mechanical flexibility and conformability, and expected lightweight configuration, functional reconfigurability, large-area compatibility. Here we explore the current status, including materials, fabrication and applications, of flexible electronics from intrinsically soft materials. The future applications and challenges of this pervading technology are also considered.
