Abstract

With the rise and development of quantum computing, there is a high scope in the development of encryption methods increasing the security and integrity of data manyfolds. To safeguard user's data, quantum safe cryptography needs to be implemented in the different aspects of transmission of data. This study takes different algorithms into account that are being used for quantum safe encryption and discusses how they can be implemented in the current industries and systems. This chapter examines quantum safe cryptography algorithms—lattice-based, hash-based, and code-based—assessing their pros and cons against quantum threats. It explores the impact on finance, healthcare, and government, and discusses implementation challenges such as performance and compatibility. The need for global standardization and collaboration for widespread adoption is also explored.
