Abstract

In this chapter, the various terminologies of soilless Agro-cultivation systems have been explained. Various factors have been used to explain the classification of soilless cultivation systems. Different fabrication elements of soilless, aquaponic systems are illustrated with the utilization of bio-fish and plant waste components. The essential components for the design and fabrication of small and large aquaponic systems have been explained. The implementation of the internet of things (IoT) in the aquaponic system has been illustrated using microcontroller devices.
