Abstract
An acid-free electrochemical process has been developed for the selective recovery of REEs from EOL NdFeB magnets at room temperature. Fe 2+ produced by NdFeB was oxidized at and hydrolyzed to Fe(OH) 3 in situ to separate from REEs. Subsequently, the recycling of ZnCl 2 electrolyte was realized.
