Abstract
A rare molecular cluster compound of bismuth and yttrium, [K(THF) 4 ][Cp* 2 Y 2 Bi 6 ], featuring a bridging cyclohexane-like Bi 6 6− chair, was isolated and characterised via single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, UV-Vis spectroscopy and DFT calculations.
