Abstract
The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual recently expanded the childhood attention deficit hyperactivity disorder diagnosis to include adults but without incorporating new adult diagnostic criteria. Childhood criteria had never matched well, or been validated for, the differing adult symptom presentation.
