Abstract

Plant cellulosic, calotropis gigantea fiber properties, and natural oils were discovered in this study. This study consists of various experimental values of the calotropis gigantea fiber and the results such as chemical composition, Assessment of Hollowness Free Space, X-ray Diffraction Analysis, FTIR, SEM, Density Gradient Column (DGC), free space availability calculation, and oil-holding capacity were discussed in this study. The results were found to depend on density of the oil and web, and the method has appeared to be promising. It is revealed that calotropis gigantea fiber has large free spaces, which are used for holding oils. The equations established would support the correlation in such as oil-holding capacity. The web of calotropis gigantea fiber has a high degree of oil absorption for all the three types of oils such as the coconut oil, castor oil, and ground nut oil. It can be seen that the mass of the oil absorbed for coconut oil is about 9 g when expressed as percentage over the actual mass of the web, it goes to about 1800%.
